Happy Thanksgiving!

I thought I would take a break from our Xbox360 and post a little something tonight. It's Thanksgiving eve and again I am not cooking for the holiday. We always go to our family's for all the food. One year I would love to cook all the Yummy food myself. A lot of people stress over cooking a turkey but I just don't think it could be that hard, but then again, I like to cook. Then again, I don't see the need for all that food for just 2 people... and a dog (I would have to give her a taste of turkey since we rarely have it). We could donate it to a charity. I don't know if they would except pre-cooked food though.

Speaking of charity, one day I wish I could get my friends and my husband to do something for charity. Maybe like a pirate themed charity walk. It could be on Talk Like a Pirate Day! How awesome would it be to see everyone dressed up as a pirate and the proceeds go to help little kids or even the Humane Society!

Christmas Ornaments and Saving Money

Christmas is coming soon and this year I wanted to try and make our ornaments. So with my friends "youtube" and "google search", I came across Alyxmazy's YouTube page. Her ornaments are beautiful and I just had to try and make some!
So I went to Michael's and Hobby Lobby today all set to buy everything needed. As you all know starting a new craft is expensive. Buying everything you need to start can break the bank and what happens if you don't like the project? You've wasted all that money. I don't know about you guys but I gotta pinch those pennies!
Well at Hobby Lobby I found a kit that was the same as what I was wanting to do. To make things even better it was half off!  GREAT! I can buy one and try it to see if I like making them before I spend my craft budget for the week! Instead of spending over $20 to buy everything, I only paid a bit over $3 to make one and to test the waters.
I'm hooked now! I had so much fun making my new ornament and it was oddly relaxing. I will definitely invest into making more!
TIP FOR THE DAY: If you are wanting to start a new craft, shop around and see if you can find a kit cheap to try first. In the end you should save a whole lot of moolah!

Finally

So I have been wanting to make a blog for quite a while now and decided that today was the day!

Why have I waited so long to make a blog? Because there are so many unique people out here with some fantastic blogs that I figured no one would be interested in my boring life. Well I finally said to myself "screw it. Maybe someone will find it useful and if not it's just wasting cyber space".

So let me introduce myself. I'm fearthischick and I am a housewife. We are a dying breed, yes I know. I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 13 years. He is the love of my life! We do not have any children, but would love to have a baby. We do, however, have a doggie baby named Hai. You will probably get to know her very well here.

My plans for "The Boring Housewife" include:

Yummy recipes (I'm fat for a reason people)
Crochet projects (tips for beginners since I am a beginner)
Polymer clay (so fun to mush around)
Photo (I love taking pictures but hate being in them)
And whatever else is on my mind.

So if any of this sounds interesting to you, stick around and maybe we can have some fun!
